SUMMARY NARRATIVE
Electronic pollution is the form of pollution caused by discarded electronic devices.Informal processing of E-waste in developing countries can lead to adverse human health effects and environmental pollution.Electronic components contain potentially harmful components such as lead,beryllium or brominated flame retardants.Recycling and disposal of E-waste may involve risk to the health of workers and communities and great care must be observed to avoid health risk.The rising disposal of E- waste is an environmental and public health issue sometimes we could find that people discard old electronics at the least inconvenience and prefer new ones.The high cost of repairing the product also tends to more of replacing the old with the new ones at a cheaper rate.Computers and entertainment centers and other electrical appliances convert the alternating current they are receiving to direct current which the equipment will use,to power its activities using less electricity in this process,high frequencies are produced that go out onto the electrical circuit and cause high-frequency electromagnetic waves to radiate out from circuits which produces radio wave and microwave frequencies that dessiminate their energy to air.When computer monitors and other electronics are burned they create cancer-producing dioxins which are released into the air we breathe.If electronics are thrown in landfills,these toxins may leach into the groundwater and affect local resources.The health effects of these toxins on humans include birth defects,brain,heart,liver,kidney,and skeletal system damage,affects nervous system and reproductive system of the human body.recycling reduces the amount of greenhouse gas emissions caused by the manufacturing of new products.Electronic waste processing techniques can help by managing E-waste.
LESSON LEARNED:
I learned that electronic pollution is harmful and everyone must be alarmed because of the danger it might bring us.I learned that electronic items like mobile phones,television,computer,refrigerator tape recorder,etc,includes a long unending list of electrical equipment.I learned that E-waste connected health risks may result from direct contact with these harmful amterials from inhalation of toxic fumes,as well as from accumulation of chemicals in soil,water and food.recycling raw materials can be a big help to lessen the pollution of E-waste.
SUGGESTIONS:
I suggest that people must be responsible in proper waste management.I think we must handle our appliances,gadgets and all electronic devices to avoid deterioration that will lead in buying new ones.Damaged electronic devices may be given to the person who knows how to manage e-waste.Segregation can be a big help.
